What makes a Mega Thrust® Arrow so special?

Our arrows don't require the hassels of glued fletchings and inserts, yet are STRONGER than glued arrows. Mega Thrust® Carbon Arrows have been and will continue to be rigorously tested every day to ensure you have a strong, dependable and precise product. Assembled according to our instructions, Mega Thrust® Arrows are OUT OF THE BOX ACCURATE. With the innovations at Mega Thrust®, fletchings and inserts are perfectly centered, resulting in consistent and accurate flight. In addition to these great benefits, our arrows can be assembled in a fraction of the time that conventional arrows require for assembly. See inside the Mega Thrust System.

Are Mega Thrust® Carbon Arrows SAFE with slits in the back?

A quick installation of fletchings, nocks and inserts is nothing without maintaining a strong, secure and accurate arrow. Mega Thrust® slitted carbon arrows have been tested in OVER 55,000 TIGHTLY GROUPED SHOTS resulting in NO ARROW SHAFT DAMAGE. (Carbon Arrows were equipped with EZ-Release™ Ball Tip Points, shot at 30 yards with Spot-Hogg's Hooter Shooter.) We are committed to continued testing and innovation to bring archers the best of both worlds: Easy-to-use, quality products with dead-on accuracy.

As with any arrow, the archer must inspect each arrow before each shot. See Mega Thrust Archery's safety information & use recomendations.

What is a Mega-Fletch™ Stabilizer? What are Fletch-Lock™ and Firewall™ Nocks?

A Mega-Fletch™ Stabilizer has four vanes (can be adapted for 3-Vane Slitted Shafts), and is inserted through pre-cut slits in the carbon arrow shaft, pulled tightly against the bottom of the slits. Assembly continues by sliding on the Sure-Lock™ Sleeve and fitting the nock into the end of the arrow shaft. Our nocks have slits which slide on to the tops of the fletching vanes, locking the entire fletching in place. This system produces secure and truely centered fletching vanes. Mega Thrust® also offers the Firewall™ Nock System which is designed to give more protection during tournament play, when arrows are stacked on top of each other. Firewall™ Inserts are slitted to lock the fletching in place, and the Firewall™ Nock simply fits on to the top of the insert.

Mega-Fletch™ Stabilizers are identically centered in the arrow shaft, providing much more precision. There is less drag with our thinner vanes, and arrow balance is not thrown off from using glue.

View our full assembly instructions for yourself. Because of our NO GLUE system, a fletching can be REPLACED IN SECONDS with no tools and no glue, just your bare hands. Fletchings are also available in 3 shapes to adapt to the shooter's preference or environmental conditions. View our Fletchings to see all of the options to choose from.

What is the Mega-Grip™ Insert?

PULL TESTED UP TO 150 lbs., our inserts are a dramatic leap forward for the archery industry and hold stronger than glued inserts. The Mega-Grip™ Insert is secured with our set-screw. Assembly only requires you to push the insert into the arrow shaft end until it seats with the edge, then tighten the screw with the allen wrench, which is included in the pack. Mega-Grip™ Inserts take seconds to install and can be easily removed if needed. View the simple assembly instructions for Mega Thrust® inserts.

How do I determine arrow length and draw length?

To determine the length of an arrow, measure from the cut end of the shaft to the bottom, inside of the nock groove (where the string rests in the nock). Draw length is determined by taking the measurement of your armspan and dividing by 2.5.

What is an Arrow Spine and why is it important?

The spine of an arrow is vital to achieving ideal groupings and accuracy. Spine is the amount of flex, or deflection, in the arrow shaft. Manufacturers determine spine when a 880 gram weight is hung in the center of a 31" shaft, while the shaft is supported by two points 29" apart. The measurement in shaft bend is the arrow shaft deflection, and it determines the spine of an arrow.

How do I slit Mega-Fletch Stabilizers for use with Broadheads?

For more fletching control when shooting broadheads, we advise the following adaptation to your fletchings. Slitting your fletchings according to our instructions will create a Pinwheel Effect that controls the broadhead, and prevents the broadhead from controlling the arrow.

How do I align Broadheads with the Mega Thrust® Arrow?

Broadhead alignment in a few simple steps. View our suggestions for broadhead alignment.
